Why We Are Called Peakvelop
Peakvelop® is more than a name. It represents our approach to building games and apps: working toward a clear goal, refining ideas carefully, and not considering a product finished until it truly feels complete.
The Peakvelop® trademark has been registered since 7 June 2025.
From Peak to Development
The name combines “Peak” and “Develop.” A peak stands for a summit — the point reached step by step through patience, focus, and persistence. Development is the process behind it: turning an idea into something stable, useful, and enjoyable.
Together, Peakvelop describes the ambition behind our work. We do not want to release a collection of half-finished features simply because a date on the calendar demands it. We want to develop games and apps until the idea has reached its own peak.
Inspired by the Alps
Peakvelop was founded in Munich, with the Alps as a constant presence on the horizon. That connection influenced more than just the name.
A summit is not reached in one step. It requires preparation, a clear route, and the willingness to keep going even when the path becomes more difficult. We see development in a similar way: good products do not emerge through shortcuts, but through careful decisions, iteration, testing, and refinement.
This is why the idea of the peak fits Peakvelop so closely. It represents a goal that is worth reaching properly.
The Logo
The Peakvelop logo combines the familiar programming symbols > with the shape of a P. The letter refers to Peakvelop, while the symbols are a direct reference to code and software development.
The design is deliberately simple. It connects the technical foundation behind our products with the identity of the studio — clear, focused, and recognisable without needing unnecessary detail. The blue and turquoise colours support this balance: calm and reliable, but still modern and forward-looking.
A Name With Responsibility
Registering the Peakvelop® trademark was an important step for us. It protects the name and visual identity that represent our work, while also making clear that we are building something intended to last.
A name and a logo alone do not create good products. They do, however, set a standard. Peakvelop stands for thoughtful games and apps, built with care and meant to remain worth using long after their release.
